Mass

Fr. Mark
Borkowski, Pastor, offers a prayer and wishes everyone Happy Valentine's Day.
He
explained that 'Saint' Valentine was taken off the calendar by the Second
Vatican Council and replaced by Saints Cyril and Methodius. He further
mentioned that a Polish St. Valentine (Sw. Walenty) known in Galicia, Poland
was venerated by the early members of the Sweetest Heart,
and is the subject of the enormous stained glass window (see below).

St. Valentine (Sw. Walenty in Polish) stained glass window was a gift of a venerating society that
existed in the 1890's when the church was built.



As part of the tour and presentation, all the altar lights were turned on.
