(4) Woodworking by Bob
Cousino

Bob Cousino is a
regular participant in the Men's Fellowship breakfasts as well as many other
Widowed Friends events.
When Bob retired, he decided to take on the hobby of woodworking, but he
quickly learned that patience was a must in this endeavor, unlike his
pre-retirement work in construction. He has a box in the corner of his
workshop to collect the parts that don't meet his specifications, which serves
as a constant reminder to do the job right.
Some of the models were made from memory, but now most are from scale drawings
using pine and poplar scrap wood. Bob finds it more challenging to make his
own parts rather than buying parts kits; only the wheels for the locomotive
were purchased. As different parts were required, such as, various-sized
wheels, pistons for off-the-road equipment, etc., Bob developed jigs to help
produce these items.
Just like movable parts on actual road equipment, such as gears, booms and
wheel lifts, backhoe buckets, wheels, etc., they are replicated on Bob's
models. All parts are removable, should he decide to paint.

Waiting for the tour bus.

At the tower to see the 'greening' on the roof.

Roof grass makes the plant environmentally 'green'.
