Grief Recovery

The emotional pain we experience after the death of a spouse is normal. Grief changes over time and within each individual’s own time table, however, it is beneficial in the healing process to share one’s own experience with the help of a support group.

Widowed Friends offers six-week grief recovery support sessions to help widowed men and women cope with their loss.  Facilitators are trained members of the group who have 'been there' and are considerate of each person's situation.

During the early months of 2010, Six-Week Grief Recovery Sessions will be held at the following parishes and other locations within the Archdiocese:
                   Our Lady of Loretto Parish – Redford
                                 17116 Olympia
                 Beginning Sunday, January 10^th, at 1:30pm

                 St. Kieran Catholic Church - Shelby Twp.
                               53600 Mound Road
                  Beginning Sunday, April 25th, at 12:30pm

                Clinton Twp. Adult Life Center - Clinton Twp.
                                40730 Romeo Plank Road
                   Beginning Wednesday, April 7th, 10:00am
