Sharing your experience and listening to the experiences of others who have lost a spouse, can assist the widowed in dealing with their loss and can help them transition into a new life.  We each cope with loss in our own way and in our own time.  The emotional pain of losing a spouse can be devastating.  Grief changes over time and within each individual’s own time table, however, it is beneficial in the healing process to share one’s own experience with the help of a support group.



Widowed of all ages and faiths, and at any time in their grief, are encouraged to attend our support group sessions and seminars.  Many topics related to grief are covered including understanding the stages of grief, surviving stress and loneliness, feelings of denial, bargaining, guilt, anger, and depression.  Strategies for coping are explored and shared.  The spiritual elements of grief and healing are also covered.
